We know that starting Nursery or Reception is a very special milestone, and we are committed to helping every child get off to the very best start.
Our Early Years curriculum is carefully planned to support children as they grow, learn and develop. We build learning step by step, helping children gain the knowledge, skills and confidence they need for future success. We recognise that every child is unique, and we take time to understand their individual interests, strengths and starting points so that support can be tailored to their needs.
Our caring and nurturing staff create a safe, welcoming environment where children quickly feel happy, valued and part of the school community. Consistent routines help children settle into school life, develop independence and feel confident throughout the day.
Developing communication and language skills is at the heart of everything we do. Through conversations, stories, songs and play, children are encouraged to build their vocabulary and express themselves with confidence. We introduce phonics in a fun and engaging way, helping children develop the early reading and writing skills that form the foundations for lifelong learning.
Learning through play is an important part of our Early Years provision. Children enjoy a wide range of practical activities that support their early writing, mathematics and problem-solving skills. Our outdoor learning environment provides opportunities to explore, investigate, build, create and develop physical skills while having fun with friends.
We place great importance on helping children develop positive relationships, resilience and social skills. Children learn to work together, share ideas, celebrate one another's achievements and develop a genuine love of learning.
Our aim is for every child to feel safe, happy and inspired, enabling them to make excellent progress and enjoy a successful start to their school journey.
